Census data - Phoenix in top 10 US metros for population growth
From Phoenix Business Journal
The Phoenix metropolitan area has added more than 500,000 residents since 2010 — making it one of the fastest-growing regions in the country.
Arizona's largest metro added 544,141 residents between 2010 and 2017, according to estimates released this morning by the U.S. Census Bureau. That translates to a growth rate of 12.98 percent. That pegs Phoenix as the 10th fastest-growing metro in the U.S.
Phoenix is one of 53 U.S. metros with populations greater than 1 million. Only nine regions posted faster growth rates than the Valley during the past seven years.
